I observed that garbage collectors may refuse overweight garbage bags. A review of the garbage sticker revealed that the bag exceeded the weight limit. This is a prudent safety measure for sanitation workers, as it helps prevent injuries. I sincerely hope that all sanitation workers remain safe on the job. Improved workplace safety measures are…
I witnessed a strange and unsettling car accident, eerily similar to one I saw recently nearby. Both accidents involved a car turning while another proceeded straight. Sadly, this accident involved Hakwon’s car, and there’s a possibility that some students were in it. I recently observed two multi-vehicle car accidents. I also remember several near-misses involving cars and…
It has a voucher to purchase agricultural products online. After several attempts to find desirable items, I finally discovered a lovely local product. Its attractive packaging and printed local name make it an excellent souvenir. It feels as though I’ve visited MunGyeong. I was unaware that the region was renowned for Omija. The wafer has a subtly…
The library is hosting a children’s flea market where young sellers offer their gently used toys and other items at very reasonable prices. We found some great deals; for example, we purchased two toy cars for only 200 won. It’s interesting to see how mothers bring their children along while marketing their products. Many people are…
I appreciate the organizers’ kind reminder about Saturday’s class. Their message specifying the location and necessary materials was very helpful. I haven’t experienced a class exclusively for fathers before. Many children’s programs seem geared towards mothers and children. This class’s subject is Read Aloud with Dad. After a short introduction to my father’s classroom, I noticed…
The cherry blossom season has arrived where I live. It’s a bit busier than usual this week, even with the lovely weather. It’s a short time to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom. It feels like I can sense the leaves changing to brighter colors, signifying the start of a new year. It is…
This is my first time witnessing a car accident. I can see activity inside the bus. Many police cars, ambulances, and people are gathering, and some officers are working to prevent a second accident. Paramedics are carefully removing the injured driver from the car, which appears to be difficult. The injured person seems to be…
I saw this awesome painting on my walk down those narrow paths. It’s gorgeous, a real eye-catcher, but you wouldn’t easily notice it. It was such a happy surprise to stumble upon it! I had no idea it was even there. I found this awesome painting path in Busan, you know? Some parts are in…
It is always a pleasure when someone reads books to children. I understand that I should read to them more often, but it isn’t always easy. The Yeongcheon library offers a weekly children’s reading service. This week, I was able to bring my children to the children’s section of the library. Fortunately, there were no…
I had anticipated watching a taekwondo match, but unfortunately, it concluded just before my arrival. Many people were practicing Poomsae both inside and outside the stadium. I found it difficult to understand the scoring system and determine the superior competitors. I observed performances from various locations. It appeared to be a judged team competition. The…
Virtual taekwondo’s a new thing, and I’m not quite sure what it is. I’ve seen some videos online, but I really want to see it live. It seems safe; nobody gets hurt, and anyone can play, regardless of age or gender. Scoring’s only for hits within the playing area, and there’s no physical contact, which…
The weather has been sunny. Recently, I dined at a Chinese restaurant and observed a horseback rider in the distance; this was a novel sight, as I have not encountered such a calming presence in my previous urban residences. While I have seen horses at tourist destinations, the experience here is notably more serene and conducive…
I must leave early this morning to queue at the clinic. I plan to arrive at the building as soon as I am ready. I hope to be first in line. When I arrived, there was only one person ahead of me. The clinic opens at 8 AM. I waited over an hour, making a…
My initial impression of the new role was overshadowed by a considerable amount of pre-existing anticipation; I had been pursuing this opportunity for approximately a decade. While invited to a welcoming ceremony, my recollection of the event is somewhat hazy. I received two text messages emphasizing the importance of punctual arrival (4:20 PM) in business…
Required childhood immunizations necessitate a clinic visit. Furthermore, the family requires a medical examination, and I require intravenous therapy. Persistent pharyngitis, characterized by cough and expectoration, has persisted since December. Consequently, an early departure is required. Unfortunately, my preferred clinic does not accept appointment. Following an immediate post-alarm departure, a 15-minute walk led to the…
My daughter appeared unwell after getting off the kindergarten bus on thursday. A fellow passenger informed me she vomited several times on the ride home. She seemed tired and withdrawn. She rested the following days and enjoyed Saturday. I thought she was recovering, but Saturday night she vomited repeatedly, every 30 minutes, throughout the night….
A person is sitting on the street, offering goods for sale from several bowls. The weather is remarkably cold, a stark contrast to yesterday’s warmth. The vendor, wearing a vinyl raincoat, patiently waits for customers despite the snowy weather, though there aren’t many people out. I should express my gratitude to those who strive to…
The entire family is preparing for the upcoming first full moon day event in Yeongcheon, which has been in preparation for several days. I am very excited to see how large the fire will be. This type of experiment would not be feasible in a large city. It was rather rushed to attend the event…
Snow accumulates in the morning. Children are excited to play in the snow. I’m quite busy getting ready to take the children to school and received a text message from kindergarten that the school bus is not operating. [Web Notification]Dear Kindergarten Parents, Due to heavy snowfall, the kindergarten bus will not be operating for safety…
The cold weather arrived unexpectedly, and many things are unprepared for the snow. Cars and people are moving slowly and cautiously. The weather’s changing in a flash.
I believe I may struggle with managing my anger in specific situations, and this pattern repeats. Therefore, I’d appreciate guidance on how to avoid tense interactions with my close friends. When I’ve got a problem, I wanna be better at handling it. Reading something relevant is always my first go-to. I had the opportunity to…
My kids like to play with a toy bicycle and car. They stand on the toys, moving like circus performers. It looks dangerous, but I hope a thick mat prevents injury. Also, the toy bicycle’s and car’s wheels do not move smoothly on the mats. The mats cover more than half the home to reduce…
A downstairs neighbor came in late one evening. Water had dripped from the bathroom ceiling a few days earlier. The apartment management office checked the water issue and opened the plastic cover on the restroom ceiling. It poured a lot of water and left the cover open. Then water trickled down in drops. The office…
