Review:Infant music play with day class
Today is the day for our father-and-child music class. I am so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to bond with my child. We are both very excited! I had not heard of this class before, but I previewed some Eurhythmics videos on YouTube to get a better understanding of what to expect. We listened to one song together beforehand. We arrived early and were able to observe the previous group’s performance, which was quite helpful. The staff kindly provided refreshments while we waited.

Before the class began, each child received a name tag. My son was eager to participate while watching the other children. When it was our turn, the instructor called each child’s name individually. For warm-up, we all stood and followed the instructor’s movements and rhythm to the music. All participants formed a circle, slowly walking and gradually increasing speed to a run before stopping and repeating the sequence. This helped focus everyone’s attention on the instructor’s directions. The teacher had prepared a variety of instruments, including hand drums of different sizes and balloons filled with rice that the children could shake to create sounds.

The instructor expertly plays the piano and gently guides the children in fun physical activities. Although some children were initially a little shy, they grew increasingly comfortable interacting with each other during the 40-minute session. The course uses simple, enjoyable methods, such as coordinating lights with star-shaped light displays. The session ended with a delightful bubble-blowing activity, where the children playfully popped the bubbles with balloons. I have scheduled another session, which will include the use of a xylophone. I believe this has strengthened my bond with my son, though that is just my impression.
