Daughter: Aug 2026(for 4months): Vitiligo Treatment
21st – Aug 4
it is hot and humid weather. whenever spend time in outside even in short moments that makes my kids and me feel hot and sweating. last few weeks, I have been using home laser device for my daughter’s fingertips and toes. I wasn’t quite sure of my daughter’s vitiligo but it is sure when I check with wood light that I bought a Wood’s lamp through a group purchase on a vitiligo online community.
21st – Aug 7
We encountered my daughter’s close friend from preschool at the train station as we were heading to Dongdaegu. They were happily conversing and playing before boarding the train. She was en route to Daegu to visit a clinic. Her situation, along with my children’s, highlights the significant lack of medical care in the smaller city where we reside. Parents caring for children often have no alternative but to travel to Daegu or other larger cities to access better medical options. I firmly believe in the convenience of being able to easily visit a medical clinic whenever necessary.
22nd – Aug 12
I have informed the doctor that my daughter will be attending the clinic less frequently next month. The doctor has requested to take some photographs at the end of this month. I am finding it a bit challenging to manage two children simultaneously. While it was manageable initially, this time feels different. I would prefer to bring one child for an appointment.
23rd – Aug 17
My daughter enjoys accompanying my wife to the clinic. She believes that I have accompanied her to the clinic frequently. She spends some time with her mother during these clinic visits. Today is one such day. It is a similar routine, like a train schedule, for the clinic. This is a different style of visit compared to when she goes with me. These varying styles of visits offer children different perspectives on clinic visits.
24th – Aug 21
She is interested in a clinic tour to Daegu, which I find quite tiring. Additionally, there isn’t a compelling reason to bring our daughter along, as the color differences in her rare eye condition are not very pronounced. However, I do feel some regret regarding this. It might be beneficial to alleviate some of the travel burden for her medical care, even though the outcome remains uncertain.
25th – Aug 25
Two days in row until today doesn’t open any thing for children. the days are preparing next cemester. visiting clinic in Dongdaegu instead of where i live to find more opportunities for children. also, it should go to the dermatogy clinic as usual. it is good to visit some other clinics on the way to go to dermatology ways.
26th – Aug 31
Today marks the final regular doctor’s visit for my daughter. The doctor intends to take photographs at the end of this month, so that day is approaching. Her vitiligo has been quite definitively confirmed by the doctor using a Wood’s lamp and camera. Fortunately, her vitiligo is not visible to the naked eye, only detectable with the Wood’s lamp. However, we continue to monitor her toes and fingertips, as differences are discernible there without special equipment. Should that situation change, it would present a different scenario.
