Events for kids

I was particularly looking forward to attending the library event, especially the flea market and the “Monster Hotel” musical, which seemed like enjoyable activities for children.

I recall attending the library event last year, and I anticipate there will be many children present. I am hoping to find some nice items for children, such as shoes or toys.

On the way to the library, one must pass through the river park where the family festival is taking place. I am pleased to be able to go through it with the children. I recognized a staff member who works with the “dad class” and is also involved in this festival.

I was curious about her days off, as she works late and weekends, since the “dad class” is held on Saturdays or after 6 p.m. during the week for the participants. I truly appreciate those who work to make things easier for others.

I am not sure if I would be able to take on such a position myself. It may not always be a personal desire to work extra hours to improve the lives of others, but rather a result of the circumstances they are in, I believe.

I have experienced working extra hours without compensation to manage my workload. Regarding the festival, we may not have much time to visit a restaurant for lunch. I would like to quickly explore the festival and perhaps allow the children to experience making a hand-crafted pinwheel, if time permits.

It is fortunate that there is still time to explore the pinwheel’s site. My children thoroughly enjoy playing with the pinwheel throughout the day. The flea market proved to be a delightful and enjoyable experience. I attempted to engage in a conversation with the children’s vendors.

I encouraged my children to inquire about the prices or any potential discounts on interesting items, rather than handling the negotiations myself. It was quite enjoyable to browse and purchase second-hand products, particularly those intended for children.

We acquired a few items, and the ones that are most satisfying can be worn immediately. Two pairs of shoes were purchased for 5,000 won, and my son is thrilled to wear them. We needed to purchase new shoes regardless, so this opportunity was quite convenient.

We participated in two additional programs: one involved reading a book to children, and the other was a musical performance of “Monster Hotel.” The book reading took place in a room, which made it easier to hear the reader and minimized distractions. Additionally, balloons were provided for the participants.

I had not reviewed the guidelines for the “Monster Hotel” musical. As parents were not permitted in the theater, I waited outside the door. I was to be notified whenever children needed to use the restroom or leave.

My children requested to use the restroom a few times, and I escorted them. In the middle of the show, they expressed a desire to go home because the musical was too intense for them. Now, it is time to return home and rest. Thank you for the entire day at the YeongCheon Festival. We hope to see you again next year.
