It is wonderful to embark on a journey at an affordable price. Each eligible family member is charged 60,000 won for a two-day trip, including a one-night hotel stay.

Uljin is a destination that is always appealing to visit, though it can be challenging to access via public transportation.

On the first day, we are required to arrive at YeongJu train station. This will be our first experience traveling on the new KTX Eum model. It is very convenient to reach any meeting point using public transportation without the need for transfers for this tour.

The primary highlights of this package tour are the hot spring hotel and the truly delicious meals, which are well-suited for families traveling with children. This package tour addresses the common inconvenience of traveling with children, particularly regarding safety concerns when hot food is served at the table and the difficulty children may have consuming a full adult portion.

In another section, dinner and breakfast will be provided at the hotel’s Korean restaurant. Breakfast will be served buffet-style, and dinner will include Bulgogi.

The dinner staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, particularly when we were utilizing the hot Bulgogi pot, and they thoughtfully interacted with my children by asking simple questions. We had the pleasure of visiting the hotel’s public bath twice, which is well-known in Korea for its hot springs.

It was indeed true; the water had a distinctive feel, and there were quite a few patrons in the public bath. An interesting observation was that some shower taps did not have temperature controls, yet the washing water taps offered both cold and hot water.

Additionally, there were a number of children and infants present in the public bath. I would be delighted to visit the hotel again, though regrettably, I may not be able to afford the cost independently.

Attractions
Tour sites where we visit is three places. the one is Baekdudaegan National Arboretum to see tigers. on the way to tiger zone uses car is designed by tiger pattern and walk down to the meeting point.

one of tigers lost last year’s huge fire in the area. the weather is beautiful and good season to take walk in the nature.

children want to something to eat when we walk down to the bus stop but there is no place to buy some of food so we were having some of snacks back in the bus.

second atraction is Uljin National Ocean Science Museum that i never been to before. the most interesting part of the museum is aquarium that is totally different what i have been to before.

usual aquarium is designated by glass tank and fishes are in the tank so we can see marine living creature through the clear glass. but this aquarim visitor need to go down in the tank to see living creatures in the real ocean.

visitor should walk for 10mins toword to ocean and there is place to go down elevator or stairs like screw shape.

it feels that marine creators are watching human through glass windows and people are in home of their living place. especially, the weather is windy and crowd so it effects moving water in the ocean and people can see it.

The final destination on our itinerary is Buncheon Santa Village. This village is adorned with Santa Claus decorations at Buncheon Train Station, which is a fully operational train station.

It is quite captivating to experience the Christmas ambiance within the train station. This location is certainly ideal for photography, as everything is vibrantly colored and features Santa Claus.

However, some areas may be inaccessible or closed, and there might not be many opportunities for active participation in certain activities. It appears to be primarily designed for photographic purposes.

Food
Dinner and breakfast were served in the hotel restaurant. A buffet is always convenient for our family, as the children’s appetites and attention spans can be unpredictable, and restroom access is easy. However, lunches were different, as we frequented local restaurants.

On the first day, lunch was a hot stone pot rice set meal, which included a vegetable with a unique aroma, characteristic of the region I was visiting. It smelled reminiscent of a mountain valley where such plants might be found. While green and healthy, this particular restaurant wasn’t ideal for my children. The last day’s lunch was not suitable for our family, but the other options were fine for them.

The final restaurant was also a local establishment, serving pine-needle grilled meat. I could smell it immediately upon disembarking the bus. It appeared there was ample parking for buses as well. Unfortunately, our children were not hungry due to car sickness on the way to the restaurant; the road was hilly, narrow, and winding, and I also felt a bit carsick. The food itself was pleasant, and the aroma was appealing. The most notable incident was when the bus driver had a loud argument with the restaurant staff regarding a food issue, without apologizing to any of the participants or explaining the reason for the dispute.

Staying
The Deokgu Hot Spring Hotel has long been renowned for its exceptional hot springs in Korea. I became aware of this establishment while researching famous Korean tourist attractions. I was always curious to understand what made this particular hotel so distinguished, especially given the abundance of hot spring locations across Korea, many of which are quite popular, though perhaps not to the same extent as Deokgu.

Upon my visit, I definitively found it to be a unique experience, quite distinct from other places I had previously visited. The water quality is notably superior, and the sensation is simply different. My skin felt remarkably softened and moisturized, to the point where I found no need for lotion after bathing and showering.

Some of the children there expressed a desire to apply body skin products themselves, intending to use them in a public setting. These body skin products are new to them and are not typically used in my home. After pouring hot spring water on my body, I did not immediately notice any difference.

However, upon returning to my room and touching my skin, I, along with my family members, observed a change in its texture. Our family room is an Ondol room, chosen for the children’s safety to prevent falls from a bed. The room conditions are satisfactory, even if not particularly spacious.

I found myself unable to sleep alone during the night, so I went down to the lobby to purchase a soda from a convenience store. I then spent about an hour sitting in a lobby chair, observing others. It was a quiet and pleasant night.
