Saw a car crash again

I witnessed a strange and unsettling car accident, eerily similar to one I saw recently nearby. Both accidents involved a car turning while another proceeded straight. Sadly, this accident involved Hakwon’s car, and there’s a possibility that some students were in it.

I recently observed two multi-vehicle car accidents. I also remember several near-misses involving cars and pedestrians in YeongCheon, both while driving and walking. I was particularly concerned by a recurring pattern: drivers failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks with a green pedestrian signal while making right turns. It appeared that the drivers either disregarded the traffic signals or were inattentive to them. After these nearly misses, the drivers showed no remorse or reaction; only the pedestrians seemed to notice the cars passing so closely.

Smaller cities such as YeongCheon may have fewer pedestrians, potentially resulting in less cautious driving habits. During my walks, I observed that traffic signals, even at crosswalks, were unreliable. It has been reported to the government that safety measures for both vehicles and pedestrians are needed. Unfortunately, due to a reported police shortage, there has been little progress. Please exercise caution while walking. Stay safe, everyone.
