Daughter: Apr&May 2026(for 1month): Vitiligo Treatment
1st – 20 Apr
It is truly disheartening to learn that your daughter may be experiencing vitiligo, particularly on her lip area. The observation of a white discoloration on her entire lower lip when photographed under a Wood’s lamp is certainly concerning.
While the doctor is not yet certain about the nature of her unique skin coloration, the fact that her brother is currently undergoing treatment for vitiligo naturally leads to this being the primary concern. I can certainly understand your strong desire for her not to have this condition. The prospect of traveling to the clinic in Daegu twice a week via public transportation, especially with two children, presents a significant challenge and is understandably a source of considerable distress.

2nd – 24 Apr
It is still uncertain whether my daughter’s skin condition is a symptom of vitiligo. The doctor was consulting with another physician regarding this matter.
Additionally, further tests will be required to monitor any changes over the next one to two months. Interestingly, she genuinely enjoys her visits to the clinic in Dauge, despite the challenging journey for me.

3rd – 27 Apr
It is quite challenging for me to manage two children simultaneously when traveling to the clinic via public transportation; it presents more difficulties than accompanying just one child.
Interestingly, when I bring two jars of snacks, such as fruits, they each consume one jar on the way to the clinic. This did not occur when I was accompanied by only one child. They appear to be more energetic when they are together.

4th – 1 May
I am planning to visit other cities, and this arrangement will allow me to easily visit the clinic while transferring to another train at Dongdaegu station.

5th – 11 May
My daughter received laser treatment on the same day as my son’s vitiligo treatment. I find it more convenient to take both children to the clinic simultaneously rather than making separate trips. Furthermore, my daughter has expressed a desire to accompany my son to Daegu for his appointments for a long time these days, she enjoys visiting Daegu with him to treat both of children’s treatment.

6th – 18 May
My daughter has been consistently missing her after-school classes. She frequently misses her after-school choir classes because her hospital appointments are scheduled on Mondays and Fridays, which are also early dismissal days for her regular school. The choir teacher would like my daughter to attend regularly so she can participate in a choir performance later on.
The teacher has suggested that if my daughter could attend the Friday class even monday class is understandable. she would be able to attend twice a week. We need to find the most suitable way to balance attending after-school classes with her regular treatments and my current circumstances. My daughter enjoys both attending the choir class and visiting the clinic.

7th – 22 May
Considering a visit to the clinic prompts me to contemplate an alternative approach to balancing choir practice with clinic appointments. I believe that these unexpected schedule adjustments can actually foster a more positive and resilient mindset.
It seems most practical to schedule the clinic visit after choir class, even if it means a slightly later appointment, ideally on a Friday. My current plan is to visit the clinic at 2 PM on Monday or 4 PM on Friday, as choir class concludes around 2:40 PM.

8th – 25 May
I am inquiring about the necessity of laser treatment for my daughter, as her vitiligo does not appear to be vividly noticeable on her skin. I previously asked the doctor if this treatment would be required, given that her skin color differences are not easily discernible to the casual observer. The doctor has recommended a three-month treatment plan for us.
While early detection typically suggests a treatment duration exceeding six months, in this particular case, a minimum of three months is advised. The guidelines for vitiligo treatment emphasize early intervention to prevent the spread of the condition and to achieve better improvement. One month has already passed, and we are scheduled for a follow-up in three months.

9th – 29 May
While I was in the light therapy room with my son, my daughter decided to wait by herself in the hospital lobby instead of coming inside with us. When my son and I finished our treatment and came out, she was nowhere to be seen. I figured she had either gone to the restroom or walked into the examination room on her own.
A moment later, she walked out of the doctor’s office and told me she had received her Excimer laser treatment all by herself. I felt so proud of her for handling the medical appointment so maturely on her own.
