1. white hair treatment journey 💆‍♀️

One day, I was observing my son and wondering why a particular patch of white hair had not disappeared. The pediatrician had informed me that the white hair would eventually vanish, so I patiently waited as advised.

However, several years have now passed, and the white hair remains. I have visited a few clinics to understand the situation, but none of them provided an immediate clear explanation. One clinic, however, took a picture and sent it to their main facility. Approximately a week later, they responded, identifying it as nevus depigmentosus. It did not appear under Wood’s light, which helped to rule out vitiligo.

I was reminiscing about a time when he had white hair. While searching through a photo album on my phone, I spoke with the daycare teacher about when my son’s white hair first began to appear. Both the phone’s records and the teacher’s recollection align with the year 2023.

Additionally, I discovered through my picture album that he developed white hair three months after experiencing Kawasaki disease in 2023. It seems quite certain that this is related to Kawasaki disease. I am hopeful that the white hair will gradually revert to its original color, although I am not entirely sure if this will be the case.

The clinic has suggested nevus depigmentosus and is considering excimer laser treatment, though its effectiveness is not guaranteed. This particular case is quite rare, and it might even be presented at a medical conference. The rarity stems from the symptom’s progression halting midway. I may consider taking him for laser treatment if I am able to travel to Daegu, as regular clinic visits are not feasible for me.
