1st&2nd: Cooking class

1st time-Aug 5

I am excited to begin participating in a cooking class at a lifelong education center. I have been considering learning to cook for quite some time, as I recognize its significance, but I have always hesitated due to my lack of experience.

To overcome this, I aim to learn and become more comfortable with cooking. The class is divided into six groups, with many members having previously attended the last session.

Today, for the first lesson, we will prepare two dishes, and from the next session onwards, we will make three dishes. We are allowed to bring home the food we prepare. I brought two containers, which should be helpful for dinner with my family.

2nd time-Aug 12

Considering the class concludes after 5:00 PM and my need to pick up my children by 4:20 PM, I will need to excuse myself around 3:50 PM to allow sufficient time for dishwashing.

I will need to inform my cooking partners of this. Another student’s abrupt departure from class can be disruptive during the instructor’s demonstrations, perhaps because she did not find what she expected to learn, such as an individual cooking desk instead of a group exercise. I will also need to depart before the class ends, and I feel apologetic about having to speak with the teacher.

Fortunately, the teacher and my group members are understanding of my situation. I intend to depart quietly. As 3:40 PM approaches, a member of my group will inform the teacher and the others of my departure.

The group member feels sorry that I cannot take any of the prepared food with me. The teacher kindly wraps up some food for me, for which I am very grateful and feel apologetic. I am appreciative of their consideration.
