YeongCheon Toy library No.2

The new toy library in YeongCheon recently opened its doors. Although the building was completed several months prior, there were some internal issues that needed to be addressed before it could welcome the public. It was quite unusual to see the finished building remain inaccessible for so long.

Finally, a few months ago, it officially opened. I have had the pleasure of visiting with my children on several occasions to play and borrow toys. To utilize the playroom, a reservation is required due to capacity limitations. My entire family has made reservations to enjoy the facilities. Play sessions are approximately two hours long and are divided into three time slots daily. The maximum capacity for the playroom is 15 children.

One aspect to note is the age restriction: children must be under 8 years old. This means there isn’t much time left for my children to enjoy it, as this restriction will apply by March of this year. I understand the need for age-specific access. The playroom primarily caters to toddlers, and while it’s generally safe, there are occasional concerns when children of varying ages play simultaneously in the same area. This was also observed during our most recent visit.

My children are older than the other children, so their running and playing abilities are on a completely different level. I don’t anticipate being able to visit again soon. Nevertheless, there are some toys available for complimentary borrowing, and the most delightful aspect is that most of them are new.

However, the quantity of toys is considerably less than what was available at the first toy library in YeongCheon. I am pleased to be able to borrow toys that my children enjoy playing with.

Additionally, there is a self-studio for children’s 100-day and one-year celebrations, and the rental fee for this studio is also waived. We took my children’s one-year photos at home using rented celebration items acquired through online shopping. I am very grateful for such an excellent facility for children that is clean and free to use, especially since it is conveniently located near my residence.
