Sep 2025:  Leucopathy treatment

22nd time-Sep 5

My son has recently expressed a keen interest in visiting the clinic, finding it quite intriguing.

He has also developed a fondness for pudding. We discovered a dessert cafe conveniently located behind the clinic, but it only had four chairs and a bar.

Since it was quite crowded, we opted to find another cafe, about a 10-minute walk away, where we could enjoy pudding together. As the clinic is situated in the center of Daegu, we can easily take a short tour and visit a subway station.

I am hoping to take him to the clinic twice a week this month, as I believe once a week would not be sufficient.

Considering the round trip takes five hours from my home, it is not feasible to reduce the visits to once a week. I also cherish the simple leisure time I spend with my son, even if it becomes a routine.

It was the first day of accompanying my daughter and son to the clinic, and I remember that she was quite upset the last time after I picked up my son from kindergarten.

She was saddened by feeling alone in kindergarten, even though many of her friends were with her after he went to the clinic, and she expressed a desire to go to Daegu with me.

It is certainly important to be mindful of the children and their needs while using public transportation, as they may make some noise. It is understandable that two children might be louder than one.

I decided to take a train home instead of the subway and bus, even though it would cost me twice as much, considering the subway fare to the train station and the train ticket itself, compared to the single fare of the subway and bus without any transfer charges.

The train ride home was relatively quiet, and my children naturally lowered their voices. An especially kind moment occurred when the passenger sitting next to me, while my daughter was on my lap because all the seats were occupied, offered to share her jelly snack with us.

The day we were scheduled to visit the clinic as a family began early. We all prepared to leave in the morning, taking a public bus and transferring to the subway to reach Daegu.

Unfortunately, some disagreements arose, and my wife and I had an argument. I believe I was feeling stressed about taking him to the clinic during the week all along, and I desired some rest on the weekends, or at least to avoid clinic visits on Saturdays and Sundays.

Simultaneously, my wife hoped to enjoy a trip in Daegu with the family, a desire I initially shared when we started these clinic visits.

Therefore, we need to have a discussion to prevent similar situations in the future.

One thing is certain: if any family member requires medical care, we need to establish some guidelines to make the experience less burdensome for everyone involved.

It is indeed encouraging to hear about the noticeable improvement in the symptoms affecting the left side of the cheek and neck.

Moreover, it is heartening to learn that someone familiar with his complexion has observed a positive change, noting that he appears to be doing better than before.

I am pleased to know that his skin tone is improving.

I would also appreciate hearing more about his diligent efforts to attend the clinic as frequently as possible.

Furthermore, it is reassuring to see that his cheek and neck are improving, possibly due to early intervention and prompt treatment.

My wife will be taking him to the clinic this weekend. I recall feeling less burdened when I handled it myself, but that is no longer the case.

My wife and I have discussed how to divide the responsibility of taking him to the clinic. She prefers to take him on Saturdays when there are no other commitments.

Moreover, our daughter would like to accompany her mother on this clinic visit. Regrettably, the afternoon is already booked with a soccer class, so they will not have much time for a leisurely outing in Daegu.

They will only be able to receive the laser treatment and will need to return shortly after lunch. This time, he is experiencing an itchy sensation on the left side of his neck.

Furthermore, the doctor mentioned that after the white areas are fully treated, the skin color should eventually revert to his natural tone. Some spots on his face appear to be darkening, but they are gradually blending in with his natural complexion. I am thankful for the advancements in modern technology.

The purpose of this was to schedule an appointment at the clinic. I am hoping to avoid a phone call from the clinic due to a missed appointment, as happened during the previous visit.

Although I was a little late, fortunately, they did not call. These days, undergoing laser treatment seems to be much more straightforward than it used to be. I am familiar with the procedure and the circumstances.

It is still quite satisfying to have a treatment that only takes a few minutes. I noticed a note with my son’s name and some numbers that might be the laser power settings, with hands at 250 and facial parts at 190.

I had a brief conversation with the doctor during the treatment about the frequency of appointments. While he recommended twice a week, it is not easy for me to come twice a week.

He suggested that once a week would be an alternative to not coming at all. Taking the train home is preferable to using the subway and bus. I am hoping to devise a long-term strategy for getting to the clinic. I wish myself luck.
