Dad Class:Making a cake
Early this morning, my entire family received a trivalent flu vaccination. We were aware that quadrivalent vaccines were out of stock. The cost for each adult was 40,000 won, and children were vaccinated free of charge.

I began waiting in front of the clinic door at 7:20 AM. Although I expected to be first in line, another group was already ahead of me. After seeing the doctor, I proceeded to my father’s class and obtained a prescription at 9:20 AM.

The class is held in a newly relocated building, and I was part of the first group for today’s session, which allowed ample time to explore the building.

The class commenced at 10:00 AM, but many families did not attend, possibly due to the change in location. Two teachers facilitate the class, collaboratively guiding us through the cake-making process.

The teachers requested that we wash our hands beforehand. The instructors provided step-by-step guidance for all the children.

For safety, the teachers handled the slicing of the bread into three layers, while the children participated by placing their hands on the bread, feeling involved in the cake’s creation.

Syrup, Oreo cookies, and white cream were then applied and layered with subsequent bread slices. Finally, we decorated with fresh fruits, especially strawberries, which I saw for the first time this season.

It was also wonderful to bring home all the cakes we made. They will make a great dessert for our family members.

Today’s class is the last one for fathers and children. I have had many experiences with my children in these father-child classes that I would never have done on my own.

My children still remember the soccer class and express a desire to attend more of them. I am uncertain how they will recall these handcraft classes later on. Thank you for creating such enjoyable times for fathers and children.
