Pre-entry Gurdian’s day for elementary
This event is quite beneficial for parents of pre-elementary school children seeking concise information. I am interested in understanding the distinctions between kindergarten and elementary school from a parental perspective.

Today’s event is divided into two segments: a flower arranging activity with children and a presentation by two current first-grade elementary school teachers from the same school my children attend.

Both teachers mentioned that there are no breaks until the students depart. Students frequently ask questions about simple disagreements or physical differences among peers, and they request to use the restroom under any circumstances, even if several classmates have just asked in succession.

A particularly striking point was that one of the teachers experienced feelings of depression due to the constant demands on their time, leaving no opportunity for personal pursuits. This teacher even consulted with ChatGPT regarding these symptoms and received a response indicating depression. This individual described their experience as akin to cycling until their legs ache, as a way to feel alive.

I am contemplating whether the current treatment of teachers is appropriate, particularly in light of a situation I observed. A teacher responsible for 26 first-grade elementary students over the course of a year has been experiencing depression, and they have expressed significant difficulties.

Despite this, the school has not offered any additional support, even as teachers are presenting their work to us. I am hesitant to suggest assigning them more complex tasks, especially given the challenges they are already facing in the classroom.

I find it difficult to articulate the complexities of this situation. Furthermore, the event did not allow for a sufficient question and answer session, as it was structured as a timed presentation. Additionally, it was rather uncomfortable to sit on the floor for an hour and a half to participate in the event.
