My son recently underwent excimer laser treatment on the back of his head, which led to a minor reddening of the treated skin. Following this, we sought a second opinion at a different hospital to explore a potential connection between Kawasaki disease and the presence of white hair on the back of his head.
Although the initial physician was unavailable, another Kawasaki specialist was able to offer a consultation. The specialist expressed uncertainty about a direct link between Kawasaki disease and white hair, and recommended consulting with a dermatologist.
Consequently, a referral was requested for a university hospital dermatologist. Regrettably, the earliest available appointment is in July. In the meantime, we have identified a sigma mini laser machine as a potentially beneficial tool.
