Programs and Events

1. 22nd Good Children’s Book Exhibition
   – Date:April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 12:00–3:00 PM
   – Location: Library Park
   – Details: Showcasing newly published international picture books.

2. Experience Event
   – Date: April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 1:00–3:00 PM
   – Location: Library Park
   -Details: Activities include face painting and tarot card reading.

3.33rd Children’s Flea Market
   – Date: April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 1:00–3:00 PM
   – Registration Period: March 31, 2025 (Monday), 9:00 AM – April 7, 2025 (Monday), 6:00 PM (via the library website)
   – On-Site Registration: Available on the event day.
   – Eligibility: Open to elementary school students up to 6th grade.
   – Location: Library Park
   – Important Notes
     Pre-registered participants will be assigned booths on a first-come, first-served basis.
     – Purchased items cannot be resold at the event.
   – Preparation Items
     Participants should bring clean items to sell, a mat, price tags, change money, etc.
   – Additional Support: Provided by the Children’s Book Research Association, Yeongcheon Branch.
   – Food Area: Snacks such as tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and beverages will be available.

4. Meeting with Author Kyung Hye-won
   – Date: April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
   – Registration Period: March 31, 2025 (Monday), 9:00 AM – April 7, 2025 (Monday), 6:00 PM
   – Eligibility: Elementary students in grades 1–3 (limited to 15 participants).
   – Book to Discuss: Dinosaur X-Ray.
   – Location: Cultural Lecture Room 1
   – Additional Information: Bring Kyung Hye-won’s books for signing after reading them.

5. Children’s Magic Show: “The Magician’s Library”
   – Date: April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 3:30–4:30 PM
   – Registration Period: March 31, 2025 (Monday), 9:00 AM – April 7, 2025 (Monday), 6:00 PM
   – Eligibility: Open to children aged 5 and above through 6th grade (limited to 96 participants).
   – Location: Jisan Hall
   – Important Notes
     Log into the library’s website and reserve seats.
     – Only children can watch the performance.

6. Picture Book Original Art and Pop-Up Book Exhibition
– Exhibition Period: April 7, 2025 (Monday) – April 25, 2025 (Friday)
– Location: Library Lobby

7. Exemption Event for Overdue Loan Restrictions
   – Period: April 12, 2025 (Saturday) – April 19, 2025 (Saturday)
   – Location: Children’s Data Room and General Data Room
   – Details: Overdue loan penalties will be waived for members applying during this period, but only for members who return overdue books.

8. Transcription Event
   – Period: April 14, 2025 (Monday) – April 19, 2025 (Saturday)
   – Location: Children’s Data Room and General Data Room
   – Details: Participants write down favorite passages from books they are reading or have read. A small gift will be given to participants.

9. Spring Book Picnic (Book + Picnic)
   – Date: April 19, 2025 (Saturday), 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
   – Eligibility: 10 teams of 2 or more participants. On-site registration available.
   – Rental Location: General Data Room
   – Rental Items: Mats, 3 recommended books, board games.
   – Important Notes: For safety, minors must be accompanied by one guardian.

10. Library Theater: Half-Day Movie Screening
– Date: April 19, 2025 (Saturday), 1:00–3:00 PM
– Details: Screening of the animated movie “Inside Out”.
