Movie in Yeongcheon Market with a children
Before the arrival of Lotte Multiplex Cinema, there was only one movie theater. I believe that Starlight Movie Theater, which was operated by the YeongCheon government, was the sole cinema in the area.

I had the opportunity to attend the Starlight Movie Theater for a film festival, although it seemed to be a lesser-known event, as the theater was quite empty. I hurried to arrive by 10 a.m. with my child.

Upon arriving, a staff member asked me to sign a document to receive a 5,000 won coupon for use in a traditional market. It was a pleasant surprise to receive the coupon. It seemed unusual that they were distributing 5,000 won coupons to anyone who attended the show, with the requirement being to bring a child.

Therefore, we received one 5,000 won coupon for the two of us. The theater was clean and provided a comfortable environment for watching the movie, and there were very few people present.

In my row, it was just my child and me. I observed that several rows remained completely unoccupied. Additionally, each person was given a pack of bread and juice.

It appears that my child, finding the film less captivating than expected, expressed a wish to leave the theater about an hour into the movie. Although I, too, found the movie somewhat lacking in interest, we decided to leave before the end and go to a nearby market.

On our way home, we stopped at a soup takeout restaurant and enjoyed a beef blood soup, which cost 15,000 won, paid for with cash and a new coupon. We also bought braised peanuts for 5,000 won. Later, we visited a kimbab restaurant for lunch with my child.

Despite the restaurant being busy, and having to wait around twenty minutes, we were able to order a single roll of kimbab.

To our surprise and pleasure, we were also given a bowl of rice, seaweed, and ham, which we had not ordered and were not even on the menu. It was a very kind gesture, allowing us to share a pleasant meal with my child.
