I have come to understand that this issue is a problem that cannot be naturally resolved, even after consulting with several doctors and discussing it with AI. I sought the advice of a dermatologist in Daegu who is well-known for treating hemangiomas.

He provided me with a referral to a plastic surgeon. He had previously treated my daughter’s hemangioma several years ago. During a visit to Daegu with my family, I consulted with several more doctors. I was uncertain about which major clinic to visit and how to proceed, but I determined that it would be best to see a plastic surgeon.

Through online research, I discovered a general hospital in Busan that does not require a referral. I have made an appointment to see a plastic surgeon at this hospital, which is renowned for its pediatric care. It is quite a journey to this hospital in Busan, involving a transfer to the KTX train at Gyeongju station.

Living in a smaller city certainly necessitates having a car. I was unable to choose a specific train time due to the irregular train schedule. My daughter and I waited for over two hours near Busan train station before we could return home.

The doctor at the hospital was exceptionally kind and thoroughly explained the situation regarding the area beneath my daughter’s forehead skin. We were also provided with a printout of the doctor’s explanation upon our departure.

Additionally, the doctor was very understanding when it came to giving the child an injection. He outlined three distinct stages for treatment. The first involves massage during the early stages, and even now, massage is recommended to reduce the height of the bump.

The second stage, as suggested by the doctor, is a hyalase injection, followed by monitoring to see if the bump’s height decreases.

The final option is surgery. The doctor graciously allowed me time to discuss the recommended injection with my daughter. Ultimately, my daughter decided against the injection at this time, and she became quite distressed at the hospital.

I also had two questions after the meeting with the doctor, which I posed to the nurse. I inquired whether the condition could heal naturally, and the answer was no.

My last question concerned the optimal timing for surgery, and I was informed that timing is not a critical factor. Despite the extensive travel required to meet with him, it was a very positive consultation with the doctor, who provided such clear explanations.

Although I was quite fatigued upon returning home, I was relieved to have a comprehensive understanding of my daughter’s condition.
